About Us

Nursery

Our nursery school was established at Kingswood in 1942 to care for young children whose mothers were part of the war effort – mainly working in the local munitions factories.

After the war, Kingswood Nursery School continued to provide nursery education for children aged under 5 in the community and built up a good reputation locally, with generation upon generation of the same families attending.

Our Nursery school offers all three and four year olds 15 hours of funded education per week. We can offer morning or afternoon places. Wrap-around care can be also be extended through our Nursery. In addition we have an optional lunch club.

We aim to be flexible to meet the needs of our children and their families!

Pre-School

Our Pre-School is Ofsted registered for 24 places and can take children who are two and three years old. Three year olds can access their 15 hours free education and in addition we accept childcare vouchers. We can also offer 2 year old children 15 hours of free childcare if parents meet certain criteria. Children can attend part time or full time to meet the needs of our children and families.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and we expect all staff, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment. If we have any concern that a child has been harmed, or is at risk of harm then we are obliged to share our concerns with the appropriate safeguarding bodies.
